This article shows that the doctor was just arrogant and ignorant. The staff in the room recognized that it wasn't a spleen but he essentially gaslighted them to send the specimen off as a spleen. This definitely brings a little more light to the scenario and shows how hard the doctor tried to cover it up.

Ashley posted regarding the medical Cover-up. I was actually present when this occurred. What makes it different is that Dr. Sohn was completely honest and upfront. It was actually a miscommunication on all parties, not just an error on his part. He immediately reported to the appropriate authorities, rather than caring about his reputation. That says a lot about a human being. I also wanted to mention that the woman suing UTMC had stated postop that it was no big deal that the incorrect ACL was removed, and stated she wanted the correct ACL removed. Dr. Shaknovsky is clearly a narcissist, possibly leaving the poor wife with PTSD. I also believe that he is the type of person that would throw his entire staff under the bus.
