This shows this because most modern day graffiti is interpreted as disrespectful while the graffiti used by Jewish people in ancient times was respectful and we can learn things from studying them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Three things that you learned from the article which think are interesting were first, that even in ancient times, Jews used graffiti.  Second, that the Jewish graffiti expressed reverence and respect for the dead. Last, that graffiti and engravings proved that Jews, Christians, and Muslims were avid writers.<br>This article connects to what we have been discussing in class by its similarity to interpretation. Not only can we interpret words, we can also interpret art.  <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Three things a learned while reading the artical were:<br>1, graffiti was not used as discrepect but respect on the churches<br>2. People didnt only graffiti churches. they graffitied any holy place that had meaning to it. <br>3.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Three things that I thought were interesting were: Graffiti was encouraged in some places, Christians Pagans and Jews coexisted,  and they put graffiti all over the place.<br>the article connects with what we have been doing lately because these researchers all have a different way of interpreting this graffiti. In today's world we would be against such things, but back then for Jews it was different. At first we misinterpreted the graffiti for something bad. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Three things I learned from the article are:<br>-Jews, Christians, and Muslims coexisted.<br>-Jewish graffiti was viewed in a much better light than graffiti is today<br>-Many historians don't regard the graffiti with any big historical significance. <br>This is connected to we are doing in class because in the article, it talks about how much knowledge of Jewish history is mostly from people who were higher up on the social structure. This kind of resembles a fundamentalistic approach because the knowledge of Jewish history would then really only be one sided and not considerate of the whole picture like a literal approach would.</div>]]></description>
