I was like an only child because both of my sisters were a lot older than me, and were never around while I was growing up. In some ways I felt closer to the family dog than to my own sisters. She loved to spy on me in the days that followed, watching me "teach" my pretend "students" (stuffed animals). I'm on my fourth one now. They are my favorite breed,  because they are so cute and funny, and they never seem to grow out of their hilarious puppy personalities. 
Because I don't have children of my own, my dog is always a huge part of my life.
