Why I Wanted to Become a Teacher

I’ve always had a strong desire to help others, especially when it comes to learning. Seeing the difference a teacher can make in a student’s life really inspired me to follow this path. I want to be someone who creates a supportive, engaging environment where students feel safe, seen, and excited to learn. Watching how impactful teachers can be—not just academically, but emotionally—made me realize that teaching is more than a job. It’s a chance to build confidence, spark curiosity, and be a consistent, positive influence in a child’s life.

What I Like to Do in My Free Time

Outside of the classroom, I love to attend concerts—especially country music ones. Being from Texas, country music reminds me of home and always puts me in good spirits. I especially enjoy going to concerts with my family and jamming out to the music together.

My Educational Journey

I earned my Master’s in Elementary Education with a concentration in math from the University of Arkansas. My time at the U of A was truly so special. It not only shaped who I am as a person, but also helped me grow into a more effective and passionate educator.
