I often use games in my lessons to provide speaking or writing practice in a funny and engaging way. Through games students learn while having fun and they practice without realising they are actually doing exercises. We have been taking part for some years on ALDEA programme, an Environmental Education Programme for the educational community, developed by the Regional Ministry of Education.

During my curricular lessons and in my past eTwinning projects I used project based learning to create cooperative final products like a cooperative creative storytelling slideshow in small groups or a holiday weekend planning presentation ( with the aid of a previous webquest guided online research), a videorecipe cooking contest or a group work environmental challenge whose aim was designing and advertising a useful everyday item created using only plastic bags (as part of a reusing campaign). Another simila project concerning reuse was using creativity to give a new life to items usually discarded after the Christmas or Easter festivities: students had to design ways to reuse wrappings, boxes, Easter eggs plastic containers etc to create newitems useful or decorative or artistic composition. This way they incidentally learned about the properties of various materials and had to negotiate and cooperate in their groups

Technolog is part of our everyday lessons: I use Gsuite, especially classroom and Google drive, with my students not only to share documents and other materials with them or set homework, but also to make them work in groups for example during our eTwinning projects or for curricular group work research: we use Gslides shared presentations as a tool for group work so that students can work from their homes without meeting in person. We also use Gmeet for videoconference meetings with our eTwinning partners, Gdocuments for penpalling and online games for revision and practice (kahoot, wordwall). Also, we work on our digital textbook on the whiteboard/digital board.

Cultural exchange:My students explore the customs, history, and culture of another nation: Turkey

I use PBL when we study CLIL, English lessons based on knowledge specific to various domains such as geography, biology, history. For instance USA geographical superlatives is a PBL topic. Students are divided into groups and research topics about tourist attractions and natural superlatives, print pictures, make drawings, make three-dimensional representations of realia ( eg.The Statue of Liberty of polystyrene) etc.

I started using flipped classroom during the Covid and I go on using this method in my English classes. It allows me to dedicate more time to diversity.
My students can re-access the content generated or provided by me.
I assign them video lessons to watch at home and I use class time for more meaningful activities and those which reinforce my students' understanding of the topic or to solve their questions. Students learn the basic concepts of the lesson at home using Edpuzzle videos, which they can watch at their own pace.

I have used this method several times, but I am not fully familiar with its step-by-step programming. I noticed that my students worked actively and with enthusiasm. We made a video to make people think about the consequences of not respecting the rules in class. Another year we planned the reuse of an abandoned building and cleaned up its garden to organize a meeting with administrators.
For a project and twinning on climate change the kids interviewed their classmates on this topic and then created a video survey.

eTwinning has allowed me, since 2009, to experiment with children with a creative approach to digital, and offer them great opportunities for cultural exchange. I believe that it increasingly makes sense to use digital as a support for concrete activities, to make learning more fun and useful. I've used web call and conversation on them between students. They write on twinspace and post photos or documents about our job and with eTwinnig I teach them a lot of usefull tools.

I work with children aged between 3 and 5 years old. All of our work is based on project work.
Children choose the themes they want to work on, they can work alone, in pairs or in a group. They do their research online and in books. The entire process counts on our help and support because they are small childrens. At the end, the projects are presented to pairs who question them about how and why.

I participated in several eTwinning projects with my students. Also, every year we carry out small class projects in which we use PBS. For example, students did a research about local fruits and vegetables, created a food pyramid, learned about kitchen tools and utensils. They learned how to write healthy recipes. After, they prepared some of them in our kitchen. Since my students are special needs, they need a lot of guidance when working on project activities. I have noticed that they like to participate in projects, whether it is an eTwinning or a class project.

As an EFL teacher I have a lot of opportunities to use this method. One of the best PBL has been designing a food pyramid. Students were divided in groups with a task to design a food pyramid poster. They were shown a few videos on the theme and some of the work had to be finished at home. They had to research on the theme of food groups. As a music teacher, I tend to use this approach quite often. It involves interaction with many different inputs at once and teaching the concepts through visual, auditory, reading and kinaesthetic methods. I use this method a lot and I have found out that 6-year-old students do not respond as I expect, they seem not to care about points or leaderboards; 7-9 years old find it more interesting if the points are earned individually, but counted in teams; while 9-10 year-old students find it more interesting to compete in teams and they love leader boards.
I want to point out that this method can be used even without technology, for example, the badges I give to 7-9 year-old students are made of paper and they do seem to like more tangible things, like stickers or stamp marks. The prizes do not have to be something big. The treasure hunt can also be done without digital tools, but it can be a little bit chaotic.
Of the digital tools for this matter I have tried is Class Dojo and it is fantastic for small groups.
One of the disadvantages of this method is that after a while, earning points and badges can be considered as the main objective of the engagement in class.
From the suggested examples, I would like to try organizing material in levels or stages. I think it would be really engaging, especially for 10-11 year-old students.

This is the method I use on a daily basis, especially for interactive worksheets and interactive quizzes. Students love it, and I like it because it shows them that technology can be used also for learning.
One of the most interesting things is that various digital tools can be used by the students themselves for designing different learning games and quizzes. A few years ago, during an eTwinning project, 10-year old students were divided into mixed teams with tasks to design digital materials on given topics and with given tools. I have used these methods several times in class and in the Erasmus project I have been running during the last 3 years. An example of it was the creation of an Erasmus+ garden that included finding out about the properties of local plants in the different countries, going on a field trip using the app PLANTNET to findout about local plants and later doing some research about their medicinal properties to later on share with the other countries on a DIGIPAD created for the purpose. The aim was to eliminate the carbon footprint and among all walk 11.ooo kilometres than joined the four schools member of the Erasmus project I have run. In my previous etwinning projects I have often applied PBL! For example, one of my latest projects was about students, 13 grade, becoming active European citizens. I like to devise different and innovative activities to be developed by and with my students. Sometimes I even dont know these activities belong to a special kind of method. One activity I like to do is the following:
1. Students are in pairs.
2. One of them is sat and the end of the classroom and the other one is next to a desk with a piece of paper on it.
3. This piece of paper is a paragraph of a literary work.
4. Students have to memorise sentences and go and say aloud to his classmate who is writing down what the other is saying.
5. The winner pair is those who have written more lines with fewer mistakes.

It is a way to work with memorization, speaking, listening and writing.

I often use flipped approach in my music lessons: I designed eight videos, two pictures and five quizzes, for performing specific pieces. Students were required to watch six videos (the rest two videos were shown in the class as a part of activities) and complete five pre-class quizzes three days before, in order to have a deeper understanding of basic background of the music they play. The in-class activity aims to give student opportunity to practice in a theoretical way, it leaves students time to exercise what they have discovered in the pre-class session and use it in real-life circumstances,. The in-class activity can be many, including music pieces comparing, melody line singing, clapping to adjust rhythms, chord analysing, music structure discussing (e.g. sonata form), scale reordering and dynamics performing. Using these techniques as a part of the teaching process may assist learners in improving their technique levels.

I used multi modal learning during my classes. For example Auditory + Kinesthetic: My students worked in groups or pairs and had a role-playing scenario or topic. Students collaborate to write and perform conversations around the topic given to them. They act out their role-plays for their classmates.

One of our eTwinning projects was dealing with Financial Literacy and the students involved started the project by creating e-books on the history of their currrency. Then, they played Kahoot quizzes with their partners in order to check what they had learned about different European currencies. Then, they went to local supermarket and took photos of the prices for the agreed list of products. The next step was to organise video meeeting with the partner schools in order to compare prices of the same products in different countries. After that their task was to create ideas for money saving. With their ideas they created tasks for their peers to solve. The final products were the videos with tips on saving money and Financial glossary.

I create and use in my classes Bamboozle games for young learners and Kahoot quizzes or Genially escape rooms for teens. They enjoy it and it is a great way to recap the topics from the module, etc.
