I combine this with film images that are retrieved by the viewer with augmented reality.
These film images refer to the now, tell stories, somanystories.

Skin
Our skin can be seen as a metaphor of 'the house' of your soul, your thinking, your identity or the space in which all this is captured. Tattoos appeared around me in the last 20 years and seemed to me to form more of a kind of fortress for the wearer. I didn't like that immortalization on my own house, but I discovered that I was collecting substitute skins. Lately I've been making installations of frames (old tents that have connotations like travel, flight, transience).
An example of such an installation is the table that for me as a child was the place where I didn't just sit with a chair, in the middle of the big family, but just below. With a cozy blanket and all kinds of metal knick-knacks and a magnet. With that magnet I built all kinds of new towers.
 The old painting here has become a piece of tablecloth under which this story is hidden.

Ze is veelkleurig, zelfs transparant en deels naakt. Ze draagt voor een deel een kleed. Dat kleed is letterlijk een gehaakte kapot geknipte jurk. Links van haar is er een barrière, een verticale witte balk. Deze wordt onderbroken door een kleiner rechthoekig liggend canvas met allerlei abstracte vlekken. Op dit canvas zijn weer 2 kleinere schilderijtjes geplakt. Ze zijn ingelijst, echter de afbeeldingen is bijna niet te zien omdat er stroken textiel overheen geplakt is.
Deze iconografische beschrijving staat volgens de kunstenaar voor een mensfiguur in diverse gedaanten/gender. De transparantie staat voor vrijheid en tijdloosheid. De figuur is alleen en lijkt door het horizontale canvas gewezen te worden naar een vrijheid. Maar is die er wel? 
Dan wordt de tijdloosheid abrupt geconfronteerd met de tijdelijkheid der dingen, immers het doek is linksonder behoorlijk aangetast door vocht en schimmel. Deze assemblage zou ook als een postmoderne vanitas kunnen worden gelezen. De vergankelijkheid van het zijn in het nu: mag je zijn wie je bent? Moet je zijn zoals anderen dat voor jou invullen?
