I was kind of jealous because she had been getting close with my best friend. I had no problem with my best friend making new friends, it was just that they were closer than we were. I didn't like her but I didn't have any reason to have anything against her. Once I began to get to know her she was actually a very sweet person. She was always there for you if you needed someone. She had her own problems at home but always had a smile on her face. Later that year she moved schools and I began to wish I had got to know her sooner.

She had brand type shoes when I wore Family Dollar shoes. When I first started talking to her, she would not really talk about her family. Once she got comfortable and felt like she could tell me anything, I learned that she had been through a lot. Her dad would spoil her with gifts because he didn't know how to show love. Her mom and siblings became like second family to me.
