the neighbors share food, kindness and laughs

The sound of a bike axle turning fills the air everyday to bring mood to the cul-de-sac

It’s what I call home!

The birds are the wake up call and the sizzle of barbecue is what keeps us sane

Our street is like no other!

On my street

I live near a field... 

I hear kids playing 

In the field

There yelling to 

Pass the ball,

 

I can hear dogs barking

While people are walking

On the Fourth of July, 

Many people go to that field

And do fireworks

I hear the fireworks going off,

Pop       

               Crack

Boom!

I can hear the sweet

Birds chirping- 

Singing there songs

I can hear coyotes 

When it’s really late-

H o w l i n g  to

Communicate. 

I can hear crickets 

Chirping with the birds

Aswell

I can hear all the day-time animals 

Going to sleep at night.

Then the next morning, kids are out again playing

All day, then all of it repeats.

Cars zooming by

Kids playing tag running around like crazy

My street is very noisy

Neighbors next door fixing their car in the middle of the night

Birds chirping bright and early in the morning

My street is very kind

Everyone is kind to everyone 

People bringing cookies to each other on Christmas Day

My street is where my home is.

But has a house on every side

Every corner

Not that busy

Not that fast

One street

Part of a neighborhood

Part of a state

Part of our earth 

Street that could grow into something

So much more
