2.Children in the 1800's were expected to act like a responsible adult.Childhood was an emotinal time in someones life.They were use to "Tough Love". Today,Parent are in no rush for there child to grow up.

3. Kids didn't have good edication. Rich families would pay for their kid to get private teachers and tooters. Black families would secretly have one of their family members teach them.
