Prometeo el ladrón del fuego cuenta una costumbre que hacían los griegos y también la creación de los humanos.
Hace mucho tiempo hubo una decisión difícil en el olimpo unos humanos iban a entregar carne los dioses y no se sabía que parte había que entregar así que Zeus le dijo a Prometeo que tomara la decisión ya que Prometeo era muy sabio. Prometeo pensó que parte había que entregar, si los humanos entregaban la carne ellos se quedarían sin comida para sobrevivir y si entrega las grasas los dioses se pondrían muy furiosos así que Prometeo tuvo una decisión puso dos montones uno gris y uno muy reluciente. Zeus eligió el reluciente pero lo que nos sabia es que era una trampa por que el reluciente eran las grasas. Zeus enfadado le quito el fuego a los humanos, los humanos no podían soportar el frio el invierno entonces Prometeo dejo caer una antorcha con fuego. Cuando Zeus se enteró de lo sucedido este castigo a Prometeo atándolo en una montaña para que un buitre le comiera el estómago por el día y que por la noche se le regenerase hasta el fin de los tiempos.

The nymph, Syrinx, turned and saw the abominably ugly Pan and, without heeding his loud admissions of love, turned and fled in terror, with Pan in pursuit. Coming to the bank of the Ladon river, Syrinx called upon her sister nymphs to save her. Casting herself into the river in despair, Syrinx was transformed into a bed of marsh reeds. Upon coming to the riverbank and finding no nymph, Pan sat next to the river and wept his sorrow. In the midst of his grief, Pan noticed the bed of reeds that had been Syrinx's body was delicately swaying in the wind, making a mournful moaning sound, for the wind had broken the tops of some of the reeds. Pulling the reeds up, Pan cut them into pieces and bound them together to create a musical instrument, which he named "Syrinx", in memory of his lost love. "Syrinx" is still the Greek name of the instrument known today as the pan flute.
