The three Estates had the first estate the Clergy/church , second estate the Nobles, and third estate the commoners. The first estate was made up of 1% of the population and they also owned 10% of France they were also wealthy and rich and did not have to pay taxes. The second Estate was only made up by 10% of the population and were also rich and wealthy and also didn't pay taxes. The third estate were made up of the rest if the population and they had to pay all the taxes and they were not even get paid enough money for it, they could barely afford for food and supplies for there families. The system was rigged for the third estate because they got one vote each and first and second estate would always vote the third estate so they could keep their money. Since the commoners were not getting paid enough and since they could barely live they had to live on the streets sometimes and eat anything they found. The system was never changed because Louis was scared about making the First estate and the second estate mad.The reason the system ended was when Napoleon became was promoted to rank of commander and one of his political changes was changing the estate system.The National Assembly was based on the population and acted like a body that would represent the people of french. A reason the people if France would not like this is because of the rising of debt and poverty. The Tennis Court was were the third estate gathered because the estate system was rigged they wanted to change that but since Louis XVI was not changing it they git made and got together, the king was confused because he did not know why the people were getting together.

The Storming of the Bastille happens because the commoners felt like Louis XVI was making a attack on them so then the commoners to rise up against the soldiers at the Bastille, It succeeded in freeing political prisoners, and gaining weapons from the armory. The Legislative Assembly was operated by the government and tried to keep the people happy and the king happy. The Legislative Assembly failed because of the threats of war from Europeans nations and it struggled to pass reforms. The government was in charge on the First Republic and the reason it failed was because of its severe power vacuum created, the goal of the first republic was to make the people happy and the government happy. Maximilien de robespierre was in charge of the reign of terror.

The Directory could have been operated by anyone but they had to be over 40 years old, it operates by having a upper house and a lower house, the main struggle of the directory was the widespread corruption. The rise of napoleon was surprising for people because he was young when he started ruling for France and he was already making a good impact. He made political changes for France and made France better then it was. His political changes were simplifying laws for France, Eliminates the estate system, Allows freedom of religion, restores a centralized with the pope, and sells the territory in North America to U.S. to help fund campaigns. The impact of simplifying the laws of France was big and a good thing because before him France laws were horrible but when he came he changed them. The impact for eliminating the estate system was also good because the system was always against the third estate but he eliminated it. He allowed people to believe in whatever they wanted to believe in. He made an impact on education, he lets people have better education. He improves his relationship with the pope which was a good thing because of the church's. He sold a territory to the USA because he wanted to trade it for money and that money was going to help France even more.
