May/June Design Studio Mission by Chad Flexon https://padlet.com/flexonc/mouzhq1dyveu If you choose to accept it... en-us 2018-02-15 15:21:31 UTC 2026-03-14 14:42:48 UTC hello@padlet.com http://www.childrensmuseumofil.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/egg-drop.gif Information flexonc https://padlet.com/flexonc/mouzhq1dyveu/wish/255263563 The Design Studio Missions have been a success thanks to the willingness of our community to support engaging opportunities for all of our learners.  It's hard to believe we are about to begin our final Mission of the 2017-2018 school year.  The Curriculum Coordinators would like to thank teachers, students, and families for making our missions possible.  To celebrate our "Eggcellent" year, each building will be hosting an Egg Drop Challenge!  The May/June Mission will require learners to design a mode of transportation for an egg to be dropped 10 ft safely!  PVS and HTS classes will visit the Design Studio to build their prototypes in advance.  Each school will each host their own Egg Drop Day where teams of participating classrooms will visit the drop zone at scheduled times. To assure consistency and safety, Mr. Flexon or Ms. Rodano will drop the eggs, and students will be a safe distance from the "yolk zone".

To help create safe travels for the eggs, we are asking for the following donations of materials that can be found around the home.  Please do not feel obligated to purchase materials.  Thank you for your continued support!
  • Disposable straws
  • Packing peanuts
  • Duct tape
  • Scotch Tape
  • Plastic bags
  • Latex free balloons
  • Dixie cups
  • Cotton balls
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Sponges
  • Anything else your child thinks will help their Egg!
