Besides the fact that a lot of oil will be transferred to refineries, there are still a lot of benefits for the pipeline in being built. Gas prices will be lowered, which is convenient for the majority of U.S citizens. It is also described to be a very environmentally friendly way of extracting oil to the market, as it won't require trucks and railroads in delivering crude oil.

After looking at plans and diagrams of the pipeline. I don't know why people would be against the construction of it.
1. It avoids going through the Standing Rock Reservation. Meaning they won't be affected by it.
2. It will be going under the water supply, meaning the chances of it contaminating the water is very low. (And there are other pipelines closer to the surface that haven't caused any trouble with the water supply)
3. A pipeline is VERY environmentally friendly. As now the chances of trucks and trains crashing and catching on fire wasting all that oil is reduced.
