Made of Polychrome wood, leather cords, and hide. It is 45 1/2 inches high. Musee Barbier-Mueller, Geneva, Switzerland.

How I would engage my audience
For this piece of art I would display it inside a large glass box, I also think a slow spinning platform would be interesting for the audience, I also love the idea of having a glass sound proof room with cultural music playing, I could include this piece of art along with others that are similar and hold the same meanings.

Mechanisms (background information)
The Kanaga mask is a mask worn by the Dogon people of Mali its purpose was to ensure the safe passage of the deceased to the otherworld where his ancestors are. (according to them and their beliefs)
These mechanisms are important to include because others might not view this as a mask immediately, I did not. How I would engage my audience
For this piece of art I would like to display a 3D display, I think it would be facinating to have the piece of art on a slow spinning table so the viewers could analyze it from every angle. 

Mechanisms (background information)
This piece comes from the ancient city of Ur. It is around 4,600 years old. The art includes scenes of war and peace represented on each side through elaborately inlaid mosaics.

I used these mechanisms to explain the scenes on the art piece, I also want to include that the original was most likely on a wooden hallow box.

How I would engage my audience 
This art work is created out of wool embroidery, I would have it hanging by a wooden bar. I would have nothing around it so that the viewers could see the texture up close. It would be awesome if it was enlarged.

Mechanisms (background information)
This art comes from a period in South America where social classes emerged for the first time, people wore textiles to indicate status and authority. This textile is one of hundreds of similar textiles that originate from multiple burial sites on the Paracas peninsula.
I chose these mechanisms to share because it helps the viewers visual what textiles were used for during this time period,
