Scale: Starbucks is one of the largest purchasers of fair-trade coffee in the world. The sheer scale of its program can make a significant positive impact.

2. NEGATIVE IMPACT:
Economic Fairness: While Starbucks does offer financial incentives, there are concerns that the overall structure still mainly benefits the corporation rather than the farmers, who remain subject to the volatility of global coffee prices.

Controversies are difficult to control, definitely there will be some aspects that shortcuts will occur and scandals will result, but SB responds quite well. Basic goals of fair wages/fair WC etc. are met.

Going against unionising workers etc... If they truly cared about their CSR in terms of labour rights, they should be paying a rightful wage, and if they do, they won't need to resort to child labour.
We feel Starbucks needs a review of the processes, because its not effective.
