         <description><![CDATA[<div>I am contemplating the use of ice breakers but in a way that encourages principals to be vulnerable and share their strongest core value. I think I can use FlipGrid to do this safely. I think I will need to add a model. I envision providing Brene Brown's list of core values and asking the participants to whittle it down to 1 or 2 as prior to class activity.  In FlipGrid, principals will be encouraged by my model to share their core value and then provide evidence as to how they know that about themselves.  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Tera: Setting norms at the beginning. My children have been on zoom and I taught MINE right away to mute when they are not talking. It was so crazy. Mine will be questions to be posted in chat or running google doc, speak when called on, and that we all will give a little grace because we have co-workers (kids, dogs, ect) in our new environment that may need something during the call.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I've had students (including my own), parents and teachers express anxiety about the transition to digital feeling like the "work" has increased significantly. The added time to figure out the technology, added digital features/expectations (office hours, small group time, etc) plus the issue of timing/rushing is causing stress. Plus, there are really people that will always be uncomfortable sharing on screen. So many additional mental health issues along with just figuring out the "how." </div>]]></description>

The article that talked about the 8 tips for effective online learning mentioned actually providing the students with a document of all the apps, etc. with instructions on how to use them prior to the class. I'm also going to consider shortening my content. Rather than full day trainings, shorten it to 1/2 days or 2 hour chunks to help participants stay focused on the work. </div>]]></description>
