1) ORGANIZE YOUR FILES. Make a specific folder for each class so you actually know where things are. If it's all sitting on your desktop then you will want to cry every time you look for an assignment.
2) The assignment is not as difficult as it looks. Seriously. It can be hard not to overthink, but usually there's nothing you really need to read between the lines for, and if you're really confused, Mr. A and Mrs. K are really cool and will help you if asked.
3) I get that motivation is sometimes just... not there at all, but try to schedule yourself and give yourself time to work on things (assuming you're in the right headspace to do so, mental health is always more important). Nothing is more satisfying than getting a ton of work done at once.

Number 3 delete your last year homework and put it in the trash and delele the files in the trash this saves room and makes grabbing docs very easy so try it!
Number 4 if you have troble with the homework chill for a cople of mins and retry it

You are in English 2! Yes, it will get hard and make you want to rip your hair out but always remember that at some point you can ask Mr. Alderson for help and guidance. Stay on top of your assignments, don't fall behind, and procrastinate because it would just make everything harder. I know that is easier said than done but just think of it as a reward; completing all your assignments and receiving a good grade. Also, always turn your assignments in before the closing date, so you have the opportunity to return them in (not just for English but for all classes). You got this, it will go by fast so enjoy it while it lasts.

Make a folder for all classes and separate word docs, use windows+shift+S key to take screenshots and paste them to word docs! Procrastination kills! Make sure to know the directions of an assignment, and get started early so if you have time in class you can be done and work for other classes in that time! Participate! There will be a lot of reading in class and participation will get you lots of brownie points and show that you're engaging! Don't try to rush! When reading, don't focus on trying to finish before everybody else, but to understand what is being said, it'll have a way larger benefit for you! I would just like to say some things and give a few pointers:) First  I'd like to say, some people find it hard to write, just like me. I'm  still not good at coming up with summaries and analysis but it gets easier, the only way it becomes easier is that you ask for help and you need to make sure you're dead set on trying to learn, and this goes to any courses you have. Things get complicated the only thing to make it not complicated is to take your notes, taking notes and reviewing them leaves a major impact and helps you get a better understanding. Most people don't believe others when they say this. Some doesn't think that it'll help or be easier  but, it really does. Now some of you I'm hoping nun but, some does not think getting a good grade or attendance matter but that's wrong. Some has a dream of college or dream job that requires a good GPA to get in that college you want. It is extremely important to be successful with completing assignments  or those dream wont come true. Ive had a hard time this year. First 2 quarters my grades were low but after that my grades started improving because i realized no matter how discouraged you are or maybe you overthink like i do, I realized that school is more then hard work and more then just silly assignments, Its to make sure you have the knowledge to be successful in any career you choose in the future.  What really helped me and others is to stay focused and limit distraction. Also cut out friends who are negative, you're probably wonder why, here's why. Its not healthy to keep around the negative people  mentally and physically, it will slow you down and it does affect focus and grades. Your health should be the most important thing, good health in general improves everything you can think of. Getting a enough sleep is important to health also, without good sleep your focus will be off and will make it more rough. If you're still reading to this point,English class of 23-24 I hope you guys take care of yourselves. I hope that you have a steady school year, remember school is more important then you think, good sleep schedule, taking notes, attending class, engaging  in every class, use a planer, and doing assignments on time, asking for help. These things are important to succeed to the next year and will make everything stress free/ easier.
