However, it is very important to know how to build phrases in the passive voice in order to acquire fluency throughout language learning. We use the passive voice when the person who practices the action is unknown or is not relevant to the type of information we want to pass. You want, in this case, to emphasize the action, not the person. Examples:
 
The eclipse can be observed tonight (The eclipse can be observed tonight.)
 
A new shopping mall was built near our school. (A new shopping center was built near our school.)
 
Now you have to practice: pass the following phrases, which are in the active voice, for the passive voice. Remember to use the tense of the main verb of the active voice in the verb to be of the passive voice.
