When integrating technology into my classroom something that comes to my mind is using it for video instruction on a game/lesson that we are working on that day. Some days it might be better for my students to hear the instruction from someone else, or even if its a lesson (such as dance) that I am not fully confident in explaining, being able to use technology to help my students learn will be very helpful.

Integrating technology in class is very important because oftentimes technology can do many things we as teachers cannot, such as, making lessons more engaging for students, putting instructions into more clear wording or even video instruction that students can follow along with (especially for younger students), this will hopefully lead to more success for the students.

Being a new teacher, this article emphasizes that it can be very hard to create your own teaching style, this leads to what they call the "folkways of teaching" meaning what we might observe another teacher do that is what we do because we see it works for them so we expect the same results. This can be ineffective nowadays, because technology is something we cannot hide from as new teachers it is our job to learn what we find effective and engaging for students while using technology in the classroom because many teachers we may work with in our student teaching might not be up to date with the current technology.

This article discusses the concern that student teaching may not be fully benefitting future teachers. Being a student teacher is a very unique position because although we have been observing teachers our whole life as students, we do not see the preparation, analyzing and reflection of lessons and even goal writing that teachers do on a daily basis.
