Transgenic animals could be used for new experimentation discoveries or to provide certain genes and/or insulin needed by humans. These animals would also grow easily and could in turn provide more to our food supply. However, these experiments may kill many animals and the products derived from these animals may be harmful to humans.

With DNA cloning, defective genes could be eliminated entirely. It could also lead to faster recovery from traumatic injury, and it could even eliminate infertility. However, cloning could lead it faster aging because of the use of old cell, there's a possibility of an imprinted age of the growing embryo. Clones could also reduce the sense of individuality and cloning may even reduce the value of human live itself.

The process of identification is made much easier using DNA fingerprinting. For example, solving crimes is much easier because instead of having to hope that there's a match for the DNA in the database, it's a guarantee that if there's DNA found at a crime scene, then they'll know who it belongs to. However, the use of DNA fingerprinting to store information could be viewed as a violating of privacy and civil liberties.

Stem cell engineering shows great potential in treatments of a number of disease and medical benefits of regenerative medicine. It could also allow scientists to test potential drugs without harming humans or animals. However, the long term side effects are still unknown, and this therapy is still under research and there are many things that need to be established before it can be used as a line of treatment. There's also a chance of the stem cells being rejected by the human body. Also the use of embroyic stem cells would destroy the embryo that has been created in the laboratory, but if we use adult stem cells then it would only use the orginal type of cell.
