University shapes people as it is higher education that focuses on specific knowledge and prepares individuals for a future in a job in which they can use their special interests and skills. University allows young adults to begin to explore their range of skills. It allows them to have more freedom to study what they are interested in in comparison to school which shapes basic knowledge.

mental health hospitals condition us into believing there is a certain normal or 'sane' way for humans to think, act and feel and that anyone outside of this normal must be subjected to continuous therapy, medication and hospitalizations. these hospitals also dehumanize their patients into numbers, only allowing them to stay in their beds, not providing stimulus for their brains, forcing them to earn things like showers, female hygiene products and time outside of the wards/rooms they are kept in. In this way, mental health patients are treated similarly to the asylums of the 18th century, but are also kept out of the way, so that the general population or those that fit into the 'normal' or 'sane' system do not have to acknowledge them. this system keeps people from questioning why we dehumanize people for such simple things as feeling anxious, as it is kept out of the public eye.

Often Private school systems in particular have structures producing "sameness" "likeness" the demand to conformity of uniform. Enforcing certain practices, and altering our behaviour not only as students but as people. As the video states "Being able to tell us what is normal + right our institutions hold unimaginable power. over all our behaviours" This is what the schooling institutions in particular are designed to do, these systems intend to produce workers, individuals that conform to a certain system. Building on Mechanical behaviours.

Schools seek to produce people who will be useful and productive in society, and who will play by the rules. One mechanism is that schools have many rules and if you don't follow them you are punished. E.g. don't be late for class, do your homework, have notes from parents for permission to not do sport.

Schools want to produce workers, who comply, and fit in. A technique they use is uniforms, everyone is the same, you're a "team". well unless You go against what a teacher or school rule says, in which case you're running your own race. This creates the idea of blind allegiance as the norm.
