The lesson was created for ages 8-14, but the standards only address grades k-2. I had found standards to use from CPALMs to base my lesson around, so that the lesson effectively meets the 3rd grade Florida standards. There also wasn't a  solid explore section within the plan, so I had added this in by allowing students to do their own research about wildlife crossing and Florida panthers.

Florida Panthers: Struggle for Survival by William Caper wasn't as engaging as I would have liked it to be. I struggled to find a good resource to use as a hook (either a book or video) that was engaging/interesting for students and specific to Florida panthers.
