A small Vermont highway police force is on the verge of being cut. Meanwhile, the force is in an ongoing rivalry with an opposing force. The highway force's 5 members are all jokesters, but still try to save the highway patrol force.
In the movie, the troopers get called into a crime scene with a dead woman and an angry potbelly pig inside an RV. Later, two of the troopers pull over a semi, and both get locked inside the trailer. The other troopers come get them out, and they find a large quantity of drugs inside the trailer. One of the troopers gets tipped off about the rival police department having something to do with the drugs.
Some of the troopers don't believe it, but it ends up being true. They used reason because a police force usually wouldn't be involved in a drug circle. He was sidelined in 2014 due to an incident, and was out for the whole season. He came back in 2015, and had an odd shoe choice. Instead of wearing a pair of purpose made Jordans or Nikes, he showed up wearing Air Max 1s.
This is strange because Air Maxes were designed in the 1990s as a running shoe. Today, it is considered a casual shoe, and not a hooping shoe. I would not wear them as a basketball shoe due to them being designed for running, but if it works it works. 
Generally, you wouldn't expect a pair of running shoes to be on the feet of a basketball player during a game. Some players may criticize Thabo for not wearing an appropriate shoe for a game. Sefolosha was not conforming because he was rocking a running shoe. It instantly became a meme, and influenced several different types of memes. Some memes were about not knowing what to do, and some were about the dog trying his best. 
The dog shows us that we can't always rely on others, we have to rely on ourselves to get some things done. It also shows that the dog followed his dreams, and got unanticipated success.
If we rely on ourselves, we could become successful beyond our wildest dreams. "The Crocodile Hunter", as he was known to many, had a love for nature that not many could ever possess. He wanted kids to be outside, interacting with all the beauty that God created for us. 
He continually stressed how important nature is, and he wanted every child to love animals. The world was shocked when he passed away from being stung by a stingray in 2006. Since then, kids are staying inside more often, and not interacting with nature. 
Steve was a huge influence in many children's lives and taught a lot of us about how important it is to get outside. He becomes the embodiment of a simplified life, but has to come out of retirement. He tries to settle down, and not go around shooting people and what not.
