The extended essay is a 4000 word essay in which we demonstrate our area of interest based on the subject and topic we've selected. This enhances our critical-thinking and research skills.

The extended essay is a part of the IB Diploma Program to prepare us for the yet to come burden called college. The essay will help us get an idea on how to write it properly and enhance our skills in research and investigation. It isn't limited so we can elaborate on our thoughts and ideas related to the essay

We would first do some background reading and come up with a proper research question. Then, we would create a timeline and make sure we cite all the sources. We would also draft the structure of the essay.

Session 2
IB defines malpractice as behaviour that results in a candidate gaining an unfair advantage in one or more assessment components.

To show respect for other people's work. To let the reader follow up on references. What is your understanding of Extended Essay?
The extended essay is a research paper limited to about 4000 words. The extended essay gives students an opportunity to conduct independent research and helps them gain skills such as critical thinking and time management.

Why is EE included in the IB Diploma Program?
It helps students prepare for college where long essays are inevitable like thanos*snap*. It lets the students get an insight of how a college environment really is, it lets a student develop critical thinking and time management kills.It also helps them to gain in-depth knowledge about a topic which interests them.

How would you go about the entire process of writing an EE?
Find a research question, make a timeline then find an answer to that question with respect to various perspectives. Cite all the resources used to make the essays.
