Click cards refined, brought in on day 1, maintained. More assemblies, trips, fields days, and earlier in the year! Build on some of the cool things people have figured out like random acts of kindness, attendence raffles, kind notes in the library. I think we have a ton of good ideas that have been sort of pulled together bit by bit over the year that we need to build on and make stronger.</div>]]></description>

We have Proyecto, Kingmakers and Seqacib, but not for our AAPI students specifically. The programs we have make great efforts to be inclusive in a lot of ways, but from the data, it seems that our Asian-American students are not feeling safe and included at the same level as students of other racial backgrounds.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I see a lot of student concern around racism, and I have heard many students voicing concerns in very loud and public ways. It is continually unclear how well founded these concerns are and how they are addressed. It is obviously also an issue of confidentiallity when specific accusations are made, but unfortunately that seems to be resulting in unending rumors of certain staff and students being racist along with a belief that it was never addressed. I know genuine things have been addressed, and false accusations have also been made, but it is only possible to realize that these concerns are actually being addressed by personally digging. The general climate doesn't seem to be feeling all the work that is done to repair the individual interactions.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Harm was done in the early PDs to our staff because buy-in and taking stock of where our stakeholders are at was not done effectively. This has been brought up, but has not been addressed. It has led to staff "numbing out" during PDs related to trauma-informed instruction and care because we are not authentically practicing what we are learning in the trauma-informed PDs. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think we have a goal of being a school that uses restorative justice, but it doesn't seem to have gotten the attention it truly needs to succeed. We need more concrete systems of what it means to restore a relationship that all parties are help to, and especially, how an individual can restore harm that they have done to a wider class or community, both to help that community feel it has been addressed and that they can be safe in the future, and also to help the individual responsible can feel safe going back into the community as an accepted and valued member.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We are curious about the idea of having 1 admin responsible for supporting student behavior as a sort of "Dean of Students." Having one person who is responsible could ensure more consistency across grade levels. Having almost all teachers teach across grade levels it no longer makes sense to have grade level admin. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Donte Felder was one of the creators of the ROOTS Framework for Anti-Racist teaching. He would be an excellent PD presenter. He is the recipient of the Golden Apple Award, has been a teacher in SPS and spent time in special ed. He started "South End Stories" and has worked with the Intiman Theater. The ROOTS Framework is excellent for ANY person who works with kids - not just arts teachers.
