When odysseus and his mean left the island that was home to the Cicones they went on to a land of creatures that look peaceful and human like. These flowers made it so that they would not ever want to leave the land. They finally escaped with the help of Zeus who sent a storm sweeping the island. They lost 6 men a ship.

Odysseus and his men came up on another island after the escape of the Lotus-Eaters. It was home to a man eating one eyed giant that was hungry. When Odysseus and his men showed up they wondered the island and got captured by the beast. He kept them prisoner and feed off Odysseus men one by one. They where thinking of escaping every day but could not just leave because of the giant rock that covered the exit whole and only the giant could move it. Before they realized it they wanted to stab it in the eye. Their second plan was to get the giant drunk and maybe he would be less harmful and they could kill him while the door was open."Cyclops, try some wine.
Here’s liquor to wash down your scraps of men"(Homer line 296) After they had him drunk they came up with their 3rd and final plan to escape on the bellies of the sheep that the Cyclops had. They knew he would have to let them out at some point so they can go eat and he could not see well due to the amount of wine he had and stabbing him in the eye so, when he let the sheep out he was letting the men out too and he didn't even know it. After escaping Odysseus yelled out his name and his father and even where he lived. Not a good idea to put into a pissed off giant."So three sheep could convey each man. I took the woolliest ram, the choicest of the flock, and hung myself under his kinky belly"(Homer line 382). After escaping the Ciclopes heard Odysseus yelling his name and everything the giant asked Poseidon to heal him and deal with Odysseus.
