"Mom, I don’t want to eat whatever this is. It looks so bad! What’s the point of all this Philippine stuff?” Momo complained. 

Her mother responded gently, “Momo, this is delicious food from the Philippines. You should love and appreciate our culture.”

 Mary chimed in, “Yeah, Momo! Our culture is so unique! Have you heard of the Giant Lantern Festival in Pampanga? It’s so colorful and vibrant—it’s amazing!”

 Sarah added, “And the famous Tinikling dance! The way the dancers move so fast and gracefully between the clicking bamboo poles is incredible!” 

“Don’t forget the breathtaking views from the top of Mt. Pinatubo!” Harley exclaimed. “The blue skies and green hills are unforgettable.”

Hearing her friends’ excitement, Momo began to realize how special Filipino culture truly was. “Is that so? Oh, I’m really sorry then.” she said, feeling a little embarrassed. Her mom smiled. “That’s nice to hear, Momo. Now, come on, try the lumpia wrappers—they’re delicious!” Momo hesitantly took a bite, and to her surprise, she loved its taste.

The birthday party carried on, filled with laughter and joy. That day, Momo not only celebrated her birthday but also appreciated Filipino traditions onwards.
