Pink’s obsessive loyalty to Suraya turns toxic as his jealousy drives him to harm others in her life. His possessive behavior creates tension and emotional turmoil, straining their bond and threatening their connection. Even though at some point their relationship gives Suraya less feel lonely but, over time Pink has somehow become too overwhelming to Suraya's life making her more distance with people because of Pink's possessiveness.

Based on my current reading, I can conclude that Pink and Soraya's relationship is complex and the dynamic is often changed because of Pink's darkside as a pelesit. At first, Pink and Soraya was in some sort of companionship when Pink serves Soraya with unwavering loyalty and protectiveness. Pink wants to protect Soraya from anyone who wants to harm her. Their relationship changed when Soraya became friends with Jing Wei. Pink felt jealous and started to hurt Jing Wei. I have not yet read the latter part of the novel but my hope for the next chapters is that Soraya can let go of Pink peacefully.

From what I've gathered so far, it seems like 'Pink' a spirit inherited from the girl's grandmother views itself as a very loyal protector. On the other hand for the girl 'Suraya', who seems to be a lonely only child, the ghost becomes her closest companion. However, sometimes the ghost seems to be more possessive than protective thus creating a sense of tension and questioning the presence of the ghost in Suraya's life entirely. She can't quite figure out whether having the ghost around is either beneficial or harmful for her.

From where I am currently reading, the search of a new master was turned into somewhat of a maniac because the ghost had to take an extra good care of the girl. However, the ghost had to accept it since it is his new master. I also believe that the girl will have a complicated or even a misery life ahead of her, as we know that whoever involved in black magic are usually unhappy perhaps unsatisfied with their life. Both the girl and the ghost are committed to each other.

I think they have a toxic relationship. Pink is possessive over Suraya. Everytime Suraya got bullied, Pink had to protect her in any ways possible but it always ended up with destruction. Even when Suraya making new friends like Jing, it hurts both her new friend and the pelesit that she inherited from her ancestor. Even though she didn't ask for all of this, I think she has a lot of courage to go on a journey and find solution for her conflict, with the help of Jing. Her willing to let go of Pink would be worth mentioning because it was a hard decision for her since no one could protect her anymore but it is the best for everyone.

Suraya is a lonely person who’s crave for love and companion from others to make her feel loved by others and from loneliness. Then, Pink existence randomly help her in reducing the loneliness in her soul and turned out he’s became the closest friend of Suraya. Pink always be there to take care of Suraya and often trying to cheer her up to ensure her have a good day. Therefore, Pink and Suraya always rely on each other but Pink’s true nature and Suraya’s developing sense of right and wrong tested their connection.
