Resources are places and things that people or communities can have. Some examples of resources are a river to have a constant water source, or a forest for a supply of wood. The problems with this is if another person or community that wants what you have then this can cause conflict. Another thing that takes place in this is supply and demand. What I mean by this is if every community has easy access to water then this will not be as valued but if only one group has water and it is hard for other groups to get it than you will be able to trade things in return for water until the next rain storm.

In Jerusalem, Palestinians and Israelis have fought over the holy land for years. It started after WW2, when a plan was made to have Jewish people who had been tormented in Europe live in Israel, but many Palestinians already lived there. For years plans have been made to ensure peace, but none have worked out and there is still conflict. Many Palestinians and Israelis would prefer the two-state plan, where Israelis and Palestinians would be separated into two different states. Most the conflict now over the holy land is causing a lot of border problems.
