         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Dr. Jean Clinton (2015) emphasizes that in order to provide the support necessary for newcomers to feel valued and develop a sense of belonging in our schools, we need to become “trauma informed.” Jan Stewart (2011) elaborates that classroom educators need to become aware of three transitional periods that can impact on student learning outcomes: pre-migration, trans-migration,  post-migration.
