Also, if they force their way in that you have the right to remain silent and ask for a lawyer.

This song is about how if america wasn't run on a military industrial complex we wouldn't need military or cops. It describes a world where anarchy and communism are implemented in a correct way and how it will meet EVERY ones needs. This resonates with me because i believe capitalism and the military industrial complex in our country is terrible.. when you need war to keep the economy a float there's something that needs to be changed.

An article from the independent, UK talks about an artist in Germany name Elone, who wanted to spread the message of feminism, and to do that she attached feminist messages and rape culture messages to pads and posted them around the city. This specific picture spoke to me because i feel its true - if men were as disgusted or even aware of how disgusting their actions are and shamed themselves for it as much as they shamed girls for having a period.. i feel there would be less sexual assault.

I consider myself to be a radical but my views mostly fit with liberal views. I think everyone should have equal rights and equal opportunity - i believe that the power should belong to JUST the people and there shouldn't be a small majority running the government. This is important to me because i grew up poor and am a minority now by being in the gay community - i do not want people to be discriminated against because of something they cant control.

He is very far left leaning and got me into activism, social justice and the real history of america which i'm grateful for. He still teaches me more and more today about issues going on i have learned more about politics and history from him than any of my teachers ever has.

I am younger and people in my generation tend to be more open minded and more politically active. Also i am white so my privilege gives me the benefit of helping use my voice to represent those that don't have one or aren't given the chance to have one. Also, I grew up poor and struggled a lot so it made me want to be better and make sure others don’t struggle how i did activism is a way to do that.

During the time of segregation 4 african american kids went and sat at a "whites only" counter. Within three days hundreds joined and it became a movement to desegregate lunch counters. They later created a group called the SNCC who would be a big part of the freedom rides and voting rights in the south. This was important because it started a domino effect as soon as one group did it, everyone else realized they could do it too. Without a small jump start we wouldn't be where we are today. I feel students today can learn from them that it doesn't take an army, only a small group to make waves and create change.
