         <description><![CDATA[<p>I had to explore a range of promotional media related to the media, journalism and photography area of Harlow College, that are already created and online.&nbsp;I created a visual mood board to show evidence for&nbsp;my research of the media that promotes this department.          <description><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 13px;">We have had to download an app called </span><i style="font-size: 13px;">Simpl </i><span style="font-size: 13px;">onto your ipad to create our interactive website. Find out and demonstrate how the </span><i style="font-size: 13px;">Simpl </i><span style="font-size: 13px;">app would be effective in presenting our interactive media production. Then we had to produce a short report explaining following;</span><br></p><br><ol><li><p>Theme and Menus -  you can create your theme by selecting one they give you on a menu. You can do whatever you want for each individual page of you website, whether it be text or quotes or videos.</p></li><li><p>Home page logo - it gives you a home page that you can write your own descriptions and put your own logo onto.</p></li><li><p>Website details - on the settings you are able to write the descriptions that people will be able to type into a search engines to find.</p></li><li><p>Uploading photos and videos - there is a tab on each web page to upload photos and videos, select it and then what you want to use.</p></li><li><p>Upload audio - you can upload audio you have pre-recorded on each individual page the same way as the videos.</p></li><li><p>How to publish - go to settings - publish - and click publish website.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Today after creating the mind map I then created a mood board about different websites, photographs, events calendars and college tours. these are some of the things that I may use in my website and this will help to give me some ideas of how to arrange everything. After We created a questionnaire to ask people so that we can find out about what people like or don't like in a website sop we can avoid anything that would turn people away from our website. Next time we can print copies out and then go and find people to ask. This makes me nervous, but i need to overcome this problem.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Yesterday and today I have been creating a mind map for my website. We have been placed into teams of 3 and each person has to do either; photography, audio or visual. I chose to do audio. this means that i will be the person conducting interviews and podcasts. some of this will be purely audio and some will be using footage of the interviews. originally this would have been the last subject that i would have chosen because i can't stand the sound of my recorded voice. but this was also the same feeling of the other people in my group. i chose to do this because it will include filmed based work and that is what i want to do and one of the Lewis' I am working with loves to film and to edit and also does some of this in his spare time, so it was decided that he would be best for the visual, which would have been my first choice. I also knew that the other Lewis hates to hear his voice but he wasn't in that day so I decided that I could do the audio. </p>]]></description>

I am proud of my mood board because it is the best I have ever done but was also quite time consuming so I will likely not do it often.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the improved and completed mind map because I have added shots of the influences that I would like to imitate. I need to get permission for the places that I am planning to film in, the window corridor, pods and the motion room. With my production team, in our focus group,&nbsp; the suggestions that I was given were to film in front of the trees and grass area and to use my English teachers Leila and Jane because they also teach in this department. I also need to ask people to interview and get some other students to be able to have spare time for me to take part in the interviews.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today we worked on the audio for the website, we wrote the questions we will be asking the staff and students-each student has to be from media, photography and journalism- and the we practised using the recording equipment, we tried to find what was best for us. I preferred using the clip on camera and an iPad using the iMovie app. Then we made a practise website to try and see what we might do with the actual website.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We have been practising our interview techniques and how to use the equipment. We used an iPad for the camera and a clip on microphone. The problems are that the microphone is on a short leash, and it is difficult to keep everyone in the frame. Next time i would either use a boom microphone or move George to sit where Jayne is sitting so that he would not get his head cut out of the shot and Jayne's voice would be picked up more by the microphone. I like using the clip mic but the problem with it especially ion a group interview is that is on a very short wire, here we had to pu tit on a stool that is placed in front of the interviewees.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today we have been again practising our audio recording and our interviewing techniques. It went badly. first of all we used a boom mic and camera to record our interviews, we first asked 3 level 3 media students our questions and then another media level 3 student. we have thought this person was a journalism student because he was in that area but it turned out to be a good thing because in the group interview only one person really answered. one problem we encountered was that there is a lot of wire that comes with a boom mic, and it has to be connected to a microphone. another was finding a camera, the first time we had no tripod with it but it has a nice shot when put on the window sill. the second time we did mange to get a tripod with it but the cameraman we had with it took a long time to set everything up the way we wanted it. Then we found out that journalists do not like being filmed. i approached at least 9 people and the only person who was willing turned out to be a media student. the worst thing that happened was when we reviewed the sound recording it was terrible, it had lots of background noise and you couldn't here the people talking. All the footage and the sound recording is completely unusable.&nbsp;<br>the only good thing that came from today was that we know how to use that equipment in the future and next time we will use the clip on microphones and an iPad to film it.</div>]]></description>

This has been extremely difficult because the internet has not been working so this task that should not have taken long has taken up a whole day we could have used for our interviews. We learnt how to publish our websiteTomorrow we will be interviewing people and doing some editing of the filming.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I completed all my interviews and uploaded them onto YouTube, then linked them onto the website. I also uploaded the photography and the music video. Today was the first time that I had seen the video because the person who created it in our production group never asked us for help or our suggestions and when I watch the video I can't see that he used his mind map that he discussed when planning it with us. I do not feel as though I was in a group with him because he worked on the video with the person that he worked with on all his previous projects on all aspects of the video, even the planning, and had no interaction with the rest of his production group. On the other hand my other partner and myself worked with each other on our different projects and discussed different ideas with each other and got really involved with the work and I feel as though this helped a lot. I also worked closely with Jayne, another person who was working on audio like I was, we worked on doing the interviews together but edited them differently, she was good to work with and we got the work done faster together and it helped with being nervous when talking to strangers and using the equipment was better with two people.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Luke Chambers is a fraud.&nbsp;<br>Today I had created and handed out questionnaires to ask people about my website, then I was asked to give an interview for Luke's website, this was the first time that I had watched his video that he had "created". As I watched it I became angrier and angrier because as I watched I saw that the footage was exactly the same as our groups video. The only difference was that he did different interviews and the rest of the footage was from YouTube and was of other people's work that he then put in his video. Or was from the original music video. I don't think there was any that was his own. I believe he should have a lower grade for someone else's work and their effort and taking the credit for himself, or he should be made to do it again properly like everyone else who created their videos had to.</div>]]></description>
