Hi! My name is Lovelyn Collamar Salubre. I grew up in Capilla, Tigbawan, Tabuelan, Cebu. When I was in elementary school, I was an honor student from daycare to grade 6 and graduated from Kansaguibo Elementary School. In high school, grades 7, 8, and 9, I was not included on the list of honors, but in grade 10 and senior high school, I graduated with a certificate and medal from San Miguel National High School. I thought I was not included on the list of students who would not come to the commencement exercise because I am not vaccinated and since it is still a pandemic, but the decision of our principal changed. I experienced and savored the feeling of being on stage and getting my certificate and diploma, and now I am currently studying at Cebu Technological University in Tuburan Campus, taking a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, 2nd year level. My hobbies are reading Wattpad stories, playing mobile games, and watching videos whenever I have the time to do these things. Some fun facts about me are that whenever I eat, I keep on putting rice on my plate, even if I have not finished my food on my plate yet until I am full, and I keep liking horror movies, but during the movie, I just cover my eyes and ears for me not to hear the scary sounds of it, and I also scream like my neighbor would hear me.

One of my proudest accomplishments is defending my baby thesis in soil science, where we studied the agronomic characteristics of kangkong, and being accepted for the Ched Coconut Scholarship. I thought I was not able to be accepted for this because I was applying for various scholarships since I was a first-year student, but I think those scholarships aren't for me. I thank God for all I have received in my life.

During my journey as a student, I faced various challenges that made me feel like giving up and not pursuing my studies, but as I remember, my parents are tired of working every day for me to support my needs in school. Through these challenges I experienced, it taught me that there will always be a way to overcome every challenge and to always have faith and hope. I always put on my mind whenever I feel down and almost give up that “dili pwede mohunong kay ang nagpaskwela wala nihunong pagpaskwela." When I graduate, I get a job. I want to spoil my family with everything they want and to explore the country to which I want to go, and among these goals, the most important one is to become a licensed agriculturist. My family is the reason behind studying hard, achieving every goal, and achieving success. “It does not matter how slowly you go. As long as you do not stop.”, may all these sacrifices and hard work not be in vain.
