Another purpose of 'The Dance' scene was to show the level of in equality between men and women and how women could not say anything other than yes. The dancing between the Bennett girls and their respective suitors reflects the social conventions of the time.</div>]]></description>

Over their shirts, they wore waistcoats which came in both sleeved and sleeveless styles.The coat was knee-length, made of wool and typically fastened with buttons. The sleeves ended in large cuffs, decorated with more buttons. They also wore powdered wigs. White, blue,gray and pink were popular colours.</div>]]></description>
