Now, following his early retirement, this film will follow Steven’s journey after leaving the octagon. The audience will see highlights detailing Steven’s professional career but will also gain a look, into more important themes of his doubts, fears and emotions. The idea of athletes who struggle to move on from competing will be shown throughout this film, showing how Steven will combat this actuality, not becoming another stereotypical athlete who thinks that ‘fighting is all I know’. This documentary will highlight important life experiences that will be beneficial for young aspiring people. Viewers will feel motivated due to the way Steven’s explains his mindset, of earning success through hard work, discipline and sacrifice. Contrasting to this, Steven will also discuss themes of failure, anxiety and pressure to help the films multi-dimensional style.

Now being given the chance a real authentic and gripping film, can be captured using Steven' story. 

The FB666 CW1 Assignment, was completed and submitted with the ideas in their, being looked at for the template to how this documentary would be shaped.

To now talking about the process beginning in the near future. The communication between both has been great in getting a full understanding into what is trying to be achieved. 

Around the 26th October I sent Steven an email, attached with the major details of the production. Steven was accepting of these remarks, and was happy the way the narrative of the film was being constructed.

Initially being produced as a Video Documentary is now perhaps best altered to a Radio Documentary. Due to the Government restrictions on travel and the Lockdown ending in early December, a video documentary just doesn't seem viable. 

This will change the look to the documentary but not the narrative. It's not the way I'd of liked but its out in certain aspects the situation is out of my control. 

This documentary will be keeping to its idea of using Steven as the narrator to this film. With his past before finding fighting, to his progression through competition and ending with his look on the future. I've contacted Steven on the changes that will be implemented to create the documentary. This will most likely benefit all parties involved as it being done virtually, with the use of Zoom/Skype will help with availability and timing allocated.

I will be sending Steven an attachment detailing my thoughts, on what will be expected of him with the now slightly altered proposal. 

The remainder of the week will be spent organising a time allocated to interviewing Steven to gather the main body of this film. 

Details of others involvement, Archive footage and Individual Sound bytes will be discussed also.

Now at this stage, the plans are set in what will be discussed its just now Steven contacting me, to when he will be available to do an interview. 

The interview should last anywhere between 1-2 hours depending on the depth of Steven's answers. 

I've also emailed Steven about any background noise and archive footage for use of sound to help this radio documentary. 

Following this interview that should be conducted within the next week or so, editing will shortly begin.

Steven overall was a great interview and gave me lots to work with. 

Taking the advice of Mick in terms of structure to this film and Sam with the audio quality, this documentary is shaping nicely. 

Currently as of today, I am nearing completion of the film, with it now being solely down to ordering and timing together all useful clips I have. I aim to submit this film in the coming week or so.
