2.) I am very happy that Johnny has finally found what he likes to do. He has grown up his whole life being ignored by his mom, abused by his dad, and jumped by Socs. Johnny is also happy that after all that he had been through, and after the recent murder of Bob, that he has something good to do. He wants to help others even though that he is risking his own life to save others. 2.) Even though Dally did other good things stated in chapters 5 and 6. One moment, I really do not like about Dally is when he burst out at Johnny when Johnny stated that he was going back home. Dally said that if  Johnny thought of this five days ago he would not have got in so much trouble. This was really selfish of Dally especially to do this to Johnny as he is already very mentally unstable and sensitive and the murder episode caused him to be further unstable. 2) I hate to be a downer but I think Johnny is going to die. Mrs. Pearl said her fave character was going to die, and the book is almost over. Either Johnny is already dead, or he's going to die. Noooo.... or Dally might die. He's my FAVE!!

2. I found it so amazing that the gang is so close. There was major foreshadowing. The book said something about they were careful with the cigarettes, because if the church ever caught fire, there would be no stopping it. Since they probably started the fire when they were smoking they took it upon themselves to save the kids even though Dally disaproved of helping out them. In the end Pony boy and Johnny saved a lot of kids.

Before chapters 5/6 I didn't really like Dally that much because he was rude, impolite, and mean. After 5/6 it showed me there was more to Dally than a mean guy. When Dally slapped Pony boy I thought it was because Pony boy didn't listen to him, but when Jerry told him that his jacket that gave me a totally new perspective on Dally.

At that moment, it became real to them that they were on the run for murder. Their hair represented their pride as Greasers. Even thought Socs would make fun of them for it, they took pride in it because it showed they were a Greaser. That they belonged to a group of people that would never abandon them. When they cut it, they didn't feel like themselves. Ponyboy even said that it was like being in a halloween costume that they couldn't get out of. It shows their longing for things to go back to the way things were before Johnny killed Bob.

2. Okay at first, I didn't really like Dally. He just seemed cold and mean. There really wasn't a reason for me to like him. But you can tell that he really cares about Johnny and Ponyboy. I mean, he lied and said they were headed for Texas. He could really get in trouble for that, but he did it anyways to protect them. I feel like he puts up a front of being cold and mean because of growing up on the streets and always being in jail and stuff, but his loyalty and how much he cares for Johnny and Ponyboy obviously outweighs that. He's probably my second favorite character.

He did save Johnny too from the fire even though he got hurt in the process. 
2) I feel like the cutting hair represents something like someone about to be baptized but not in a good way. It probably means how Johnny and Pony were slowly separating from the Greasers, because their long hair is a symbol for their gang. Soon, they might've made a lot of changes and would slowly drift away from the group.

He really was a good person but was changed by his time in jail. He experienced so many things that are hard to forget, and so he isn't innocent. He just embraced that in the wrong way and got into fights with other people.

2) I loved that Cherry became a spy for the Greasers because I knew she didn't really believe in what the Socs wanted or felt at all. It's awesome that she is helping out the people she believes in instead of helping out those around her.
