Loyalty is still important in the 2000's. Loyalty is required in friendship, and teams in order to keep them healthy. Back then, loyalty was needed to survive.

2) (Is loyalty more important to you than “popularity” or “fitting in”? Why or why not?) Loyalty is more important to me than "popularity". This is because even if popularity does give you friends, it won't be worth it if the friends are not loyal. Loyalty gives you true friends.

A kick from a Soc stuns Ponyboy, but shortly after, the Socs run from the scene. The greasers then go to visit Johnny, who is beginning to die. Before Johnny dies, he tells Ponyboy to "stay gold". Dally is greatly affected by Johnny's death.

Some dismiss the initiative as merely a political stunt by Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservatives.
