Basically, there are a few critical questions- the meaning of which has to be decoded (literally). There could be a few sessions for all students - separately for boys and girls. In which they understand that it is common to feel a low self-esteem. Strategies to be discussed and discussion sessions with the Counsellor should go on where the child opens up about their emotional barriers and the parents are made aware of their difficulty and improvisations are in place where the child's self-esteem can be built. Introversion is a symbol of lack of appreciation at home where the child feels insignificant and not valued. In today's world where we have nuclear families, its not a priority for parents or they don't realize that children are by nature fragile and that they need to handled with care, else their self-esteem will shatter.
