I can relate to that to some swim practices when you feel like the practice is never going to end and you will keep on swimming forever (Homer,66).

I can make a textual connection when in book 4 Antinoos tries to sabotage Telemachus and steal his boat and kill him. Magnus chase had a similar plan when he was trying to plan an attack on Fenris an kill him or tie him up with Andskoti the new rope (Homer,43). 

I can make a historical connection when Mark Antony and Cleopatra fall in love. Cleopatra was Julius's mistress but after Julius's death she fell in love with Mark Antony. Well Mark was married to Octavia (Octavian's sister) to assumed his role and rule the third of the Roman Empire. Mark got in an affair with Cleopatra and they ended up joining forces against Octavian. Octavian won and Mark and Cleopatra killed themselves out of misinterpretations and  before Octavian could. Like Odysseus did with the Goddess Calypso, who topped him on an island and just uses him as her boy toy (Homer,53).
