This book/series was always a favorite when I was a young student. The way the other uses a play on words and the way the story circles back to the original line makes the story that much better.

The sentences flow throughout the book describing how the mice are working to preapre for winter. Fredrick however is working in other ways. I really enjoyed the end of the book ends with a poem because poems are an important part of writing as well.

This story shows a great deal of ideas. Sophia is trying to convince her family to get a pet giraffe. For each of her family members she has to come up with a different argument. The author does a great job with the details that support the central message.
