Is there a dedicated truancy team? If not, I think that there should be maybe one admin and one BMT who are in charge of truancy and make those phone calls home. Even try to find those students if they are on campus and are just not going to certain classes. Hard to tell if a student is skipping your class if the have 12 absences in one class and 35 in most others.
