I am a freshman here at the University of Arkansas and I live in the Harding Quads on campus. I have specifically designed my class schedule to fit the needs of my nor but also allow me to spend time with my friends. Having friends in college is not only fun, but it also gives me someone to turn to during the hard times. I am so grateful for the livelong friends I have made during my time here so far!

I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was 5 years old. Teaching is my passion and actually getting to pursue that is so rewarding. During my first semester here, I took a class called Introduction to Education. In this class, we were required to do a minimum of 8 hours of elementary classroom observations at a local school here in NWA. I observed a 2nd grade classroom in Springdale, AR and it was very eye opening to a teacher's world. I also had the opportunity to lead a group of elementary student's through a Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) tour at the famous Art Museum in Bentonville, Crystal Bridges. Throughout my time here, I will be taking classes to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

My dream is to graduate the University of Arkansas with a 4.0 GPA and a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I want to get a job as a 2nd or 4th grade teacher in NWA. During my first year as a teacher I want to get an online Masters degree so I can be more qualified for my job. I cannot wait to become a teacher and get to fulfill my dream. I believe that classroom layout is very important. I want my class to have many different types of alternate seating so each and every student can learn and do things comfortably.
