Revenge in Hamlet is very interesting. Hamlet takes a very slow approach to revenge and in a way it is more devastating. Hamlet makes those around him lose their minds worrying about what he might do next and how he might break. This might be more impact than his final revenge plan.

Revenge is probably the primary theme thats present in Hamlet. It is mainly portrayed through Hamlets ineptitude and his inability to effectively take revenge on the new king. There are other characters like Fortinbras who is able to take quick action and march on Denmark. Laertes will likely take revenge on Hamlet for the death of Polonius. Showing Hamlets lack of ability to take action.

Madness is prevelent in Hamlet through the killing spree Hamlet is having. He is actually going insane and is treating everyone around him poorly. He killed Polonius for no apparent reason just because he wants to actually get to the King. Also, can we talk about how he essentially harrassed Opheila. Hamlet has gone mad.

I think revenge is a clear theme throughout Hamlet. I really think grief plays a large role in Hamlet and his need for revenge. He gets tunnel vision and makes his main focus killing his uncle. When you are only focused on one thing it can cause you to lose sight of the more important aspects of life, and that is displayed through Hamlet. He loses sight of his family and maybe his other goals in life

Madness is exhibited multiple times throughout Hamlet and love is usually the source of it. Many characters in the story believe Hamlet has become mad due to his unreturned love for Ophelia and it's become a danger to others. Characters in the story also clearly have a lack of understanding of how to deal with madness/despair. Some decide it would be best to just send Hamlet away and get rid of him which is still the "solution" a lot of people have for madness/mental illness instead of really dealing with it.

Hamlet's plan for revenge envokes a fear among the other characters in the story. The whole story is about Hamlet's plot for revenge and I feel that shows Hamlet's true thoughts that further gives fear to the reader in suspicion on what will happen next.

The family aspect in Hamlet is a little bit twisted. There is family but they do not treat each other like family. For example Hamlet's uncle literally killed his own brother which is not really what family is supposed to do if you know what I mean.

The levels of madness between all of the characters are very chaotic. Hamlet treats people very poorly because of the subconscious mind of his killing spree. I think he needs to take a step back and see the bigger picture of the damage that he is causing.

In Hamlet, family is the main motivation/cause of the story. Family ties and jealousy cause Hamlet's uncle to kill his father to become king. Hamlet's main motivation for revenge is his obligation and respect for his father. He wants to stay loyal and perform his duty as the rightful ruler of Denmark by killing his uncle, the false king, and becoming ruler.

In hamlet revenge and madness play hand in hand at a theme. Hamlet is so set on getting revenge for his father that he starts to drive himself into insanity. Hamlet is distraught by his fathers death but it then turns to rage when his fathers ghost comes back and tells him that it was his uncles doing and that his death was no accident.

I think the main moral in this play is revenge. Hamlet believes that he must kill his uncle since his uncle killed his father. Other than that I haven't really seen another example of their morals/morality played out.

Madness is shown in Hamlet through his slow progression of insanity. The ghost plays the biggest role in Hamlet's madness because no one else can see why he is committing acts of murder, because the ghost is a fabrication of his mind. Honestly I think the ghost represents his grief and the major toll it has taken on his external life. His madness is no longer mental, but also physical as well.

There is a sort of madness between Hamlet and Ophelia's relationship. Ophelia's family does not want her with Hamlet, but she wants him anyway. Hamlet tells Ophelia that he never loved her and then he kills her father, proving the point that they never should have gotten together in the first place.

Corruption and power hunger cause Hamlet's uncle to kill his father to take the crown. His mother's love for power also makes her remarry immediately and stay Queen. Additionally, several nobles and castle people are corrupt and stay working under the false king because it allows them to keep their positions, even if they betray Hamlet and the true royalty.

The theme is corruption is displayed through the King because he killed gangy (his brother). The Corruption and crookedness of the government and the king is related to what Kendrick Lamar talks about on his album "To Pimp A Butterfly". Corruption plays a big role in Hamlet b/c of how crooked the king is and how he affects everything around them just how K-DOT talks about the corruption of the political and justice system in TPAB.

Corruption took over and ruined the family. When the ghost of hamlets father came back, the truth is revealed that he was killed by hamlets uncle. Power took control and the current king became greedy and wanted to establish himself as the higher power.

In Hamlet, individuals use madness in multiple different ways. Hamlet used the facade of madness to appear insane which would throw the people suspicious of him, off track. King Claudius and Polonius claimed that Hamlet was a crazed man, when in reality, they just used it to cover up their own mistakes and insecurities. King Claudius distracted people from his incestuous marriage and the murder he committed while Polonius would probably be ashamed if Ophelia ever married Hamlet.

Hamlet's family is a lot different than the average family. Although they were family, the uncle still killed Hamlet's dad, that way he could become king. In a normal family, you would not kill a relative so that you could take over their role. I would not want to be in their family

There is a lot of corruption in the new monarch with the King and Queen. The King is heavily hiding the truth from the public about how he attained the throne and how the previous king died. In reality, he murdered his own brother for power and the Queen remarried Hamlet's uncle in her own desire for power as well. Hamlet is the only one who appears to recognize and understand this corruption and it heavily frustrates him. He believes he must take revenge on his uncle because of this corruption.
