The purpose of this article was to inform readers about the dangers of smoking and the banning of it from the majority amount of states. The purpose of this article is too lower the use of smoking to protect the health of young smokers, which influences others to stop. The intended audience is the American population that being: teenagers, adults, and current smokers. This article uses the rhetorical device of logos it is very affective as it appeals ones logic for an important topic being the banning of smoking. The article shows the opinion of science advisors and how smoking has caused children to be affected by smokers, shortening life span rates.
