Many pupils don't bother to turn up for reg since "it's only reg". Since they get registered again in Period 1, it does seem a bit redundant for the ones who do turn up!

Potential for getting pupils to take more responsibility for themselves during the school day - signing themselves in, ensuring they have appropriate stationary, checking Chromebook charged? Problem solving BEFORE they get to their first class.

If registers are so important, please prioritise making SEEMIS work so that the register can actually be done in the first ten minutes, after which it is easy to forget to check on recalcitrant computers as it is necessary to actually be teaching the class for the remaining time.
