To be Jewish it means you're one of the "Chosen ones" meaning there can be two ways to be jewish. People are either be born into a jewish home or culturally identified as jewish. Most people who are born into a jewish home are raised eating blintzes and lighting Shabbat candle and can never step foot inside a synagogue. If you choose to be Jewish you need to study with a rabbi and undergoing the process of conversion. to be Jewish is to be a member of a culture, a religion, and a peoplehood. Jews are unique in that they are one of the few, if only, "people" in the world that encompass both a religious, cultural and national aspect

"The belief that Jesus is God, the Son of God, or a person of the Trinity, is incompatible with Jewish theology. Jews believe Jesus of Nazareth did not fulfill messianic prophecies that establish the criteria for the coming of the messiah." Jews are not Protestants. A people was formally established at Sinai, not just a religious faith. The Jewish covenant with God is inseparable from our covenants with one another and the world.
