The next deadline for applications seeking funding over £5,000 is 31 August 2026. Applications for £5,000 and below can be submitted at any time.

Two focus areas: A Place to Call Home and Financial Wellbeing. UK registered charities up to a maximum of £5,000.

They prioritise charities supporting people in the top 50% of the UK Index of Multiple Deprivation. They fund core, capital and project costs.

• Interventions that support families and help them in ways that prevent the fracture of the family unit, eg practical family support, relationship counselling, mediation

• Families where sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, alcohol abuse and drug abuse threaten the integrity of the family unit

• Prisoners and in particular their families, during and after the period of imprisonment

The trust prefers to support charities whose income is below £500,000. However, larger charities with pioneering pilot projects will be considered.

The trust will consider both capital and revenue grants. The trust is happy to support requests for core funding as well as project-based grants, and actively encourages applications from relatively new organisations to help them become established.

• Enabling participation in the arts - Organisations whose core work helps people overcome specific barriers to accessing the arts. Applications must show how their activities directly remove, or support people to overcome, these barriers

• Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty - Organisations that support people at risk of or living in poverty. Applications must demonstrate specialist, ongoing support that directly addresses the causes or impacts of poverty

• Supporting marginalised groups and/or tackling inequality - Organisations whose primary purpose is to support specific marginalised communities to fully participate in social, economic, political or cultural life. Applicants must be able to demonstrate how their work helps overcome systemic barriers

• Improving mental health - Organisations that support people experiencing mental ill-health, rather than general mental wellbeing. Applicants must demonstrate ongoing, specific support for mental health conditions as a core purpose, rather than occasional or general social, wellbeing activities

• Our focus will be on organisations that are actively supporting specific mental health issues, rather than general mental wellbeing activities.

When circumstances change, people are at a bigger risk of becoming homeless than at any other time.  Lloyds Bank Foundation is backing local organisations that work to help people keep a safe place to call home and build a new beginning. 

Through fund will support organisations that work with individuals who have been identified as most at risk of homelessness, including young people leaving care, domestic abuse survivors, prison leavers and when someone leaves the asylum system upon receiving the right to remain in the UK.   

Community organisations are already providing vital services for people at these critical turning points and through this fund, the Foundation will stand alongside them, providing long-term, unrestricted funding and development support to help strengthen their impact and reach more people.

Restrictions:

Within these categories, the trustees do not usually make grants for:

• Organisations without a Charity Commission registration.

• Organisations that have been operating for less than 24 months and therefore do not have at least one full set of Accounts.

Eligible Expenditure

The Foundation provides grants to officially recognised charitable organisations within the United Kingdom only in respect of:

Supports UK fundraisers to build digital fundraising skills through a fully funded learning programme running Jan–Jun 2027. Open to applicants who can commit weekly time, have a clear digital fundraising project to develop and can explain how the training will support their goals. Participants receive access to a digital learning portal, 1,000+ hours of training, automatic registration for all Fundraising Everywhere virtual events and optional 1:1 coaching. Skills covered include online checkout optimisation, behavioural science, digital strategy, email marketing, accessibility, wellbeing and social media. Apply by 5pm BST on 12 Sep.

Supports charities, CIOs and CICs in England and Wales with up to £200,000 over four years in unrestricted funding to prevent homelessness through early intervention. Aims to back organisations working with people most at risk by strengthening capacity, stability and community‑led support. Focuses on preventing crisis by supporting people at key transition points and investing in organisations furthest from being in a good place. Open to groups delivering local early‑intervention work that improves housing stability, wellbeing and community belonging.  

The Trust is particularly interested in supporting initiatives that take a proactive and creative approach to tackling the root causes of welfare issues. Projects may include practical interventions, education, or other innovative solutions designed to prevent suffering before it occurs. You may include core costs if they directly support delivery of your project (e.g. staff time, rent, utilities used for this work).

1. Enabling children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds to thrive and achieve their potential in education and employment.

• Enhancing early years school readiness for children in vulnerable families

Funding from £250 is normally considered for capital and revenue costs and for both specific projects and for general running/core costs.

Successful Darwin Initiative projects are likely to:

• Facilitate changes that improve biodiversity conservation and reduce poverty

• Operate in ways that make change likely to last beyond external funding, including enhancing the capability and capacity of national and local partners and stakeholders

• Strengthen, promote, and use evidence to inform and scale changes

• Facilitate large-scale benefits for biodiversity and people, or test approaches that have the potential to deliver large-scale impact

• Demonstrate an understanding of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion within their context, and effectively reflect this in their approach to deliver sustained outcomes

Listing the varied fields of our past charitable activity may have the disadvantage of seeming to exclude those not mentioned as much as embracing those that are. In fact, despite familiar areas such as education, cultural activities and arts & heritage, the Foundation often helps with health issues, overseas famine relief, food banks and other worthy causes.

As a guideline, our average donation is £1,500, with donations typically ranging from £500 - £5,000. 

Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom. Priority will be given to projects involving composers and activity based in the UK, though activity does not have to solely take place in the UK.

The Kelly Family Charitable Trust provides support in three main areas:

• Arts: Nurturing Early-Stage Professionals - our grants support training opportunities for emerging professionals, working creatively and backstage, within the performing and visual arts, post-training, and at an early stage in their career.

• Conservation: Objects and Works of Art - our grants support the conservation of cultural heritage of recognized national and international importance in museums, libraries, galleries, historic buildings, or landscapes accessible to the public. Priority will be given to applications that include a knowledge sharing element as an outcome of the project. We are committed to sharing the knowledge and experience of conservators to a wider audience, so depending on the size and resources available within the project we will be looking for knowledge sharing with professional colleagues, for example a webinar, lecture, or published article. A public engagement activity that helps to improve the public understanding of conservation practice is encouraged. Applications must include a treatment proposal from an accredited conservator.

Once the grant has been approved the organisation will be guaranteed an annual grant for the duration of the project,as long as receipts and reports are sent back to the Trust in the way that is specified. Once a grant has been awarded for a particular project, the organisation cannot apply for a further grant in respect of that project.

Grant applications are open to non-profit organisations, charities, and community groups (including local branches of national charities) that work for the betterment of local communities through charitable initiatives. To be eligible, all organisations and community interest groups must be registered with a recognised governing body (such as the Charity Commission or Companies House) for a minimum of 18 months (they should have annual accounts available and submitted) 

Grants are available to support ECB affiliated cricket clubs in England and Wales which are actively engaged with women's cricket, girls' cricket and/or disability cricket with creating welcoming environments, providing enhanced facilities and playing opportunities. 
Amount: up to £50,000 

The 1910 Trust is an ‘Outcome-focused’ funder. In consequence those organisations funded by the Trust must demonstrate how the grant has made a different to the people they support.

All grant applications will need to meet one or more of the outcomes:

1. Improving the quality of life for young people, groups or communities.

2. Promoting inclusivity in communities.

3. Ensuring vulnerable young people and adults are supported or helped gain access to support.

4. Promoting the mental, physical and emotional well-being of vulnerable individuals or groups.

5. Providing safe supporting accommodation for those who are homeless

The Thomas Wall Trust helps registered charities create employment opportunities for people facing significant barriers to work. The Trust focuses on helping disadvantaged adults develop the confidence, skills and experience needed to move towards sustainable employment. 

The Trust supports projects that provide: 

• Employability and vocational skills training. 

• Confidence building and personal development. 

• Work placements and employment support. 

• Tailored programmes for people experiencing multiple barriers to work. 

Priority is given to projects supporting people with disabilities, mental ill health, experience of homelessness, offending histories, addiction recovery, refugees and other disadvantaged groups. 

Exclusions and if they fund CICs 

Only registered charities with an annual income between £25,000 and £500,000 are eligible. CICs, statutory organisations and individuals cannot apply. The Trust does not fund capital projects, core running costs, existing staff posts or projects that do not have employability as their primary focus. 

Grants of up to £5,000 are available, alongside access to specialist business mentoring through Pilotlight. 

The deadline for 1st stage application is noon on Friday 11 September 2026. 

The Lloyds Bank Foundation has launched its £8 million New Beginnings Fund to help prevent homelessness before people reach crisis point. The programme forms part of the Foundation’s new Good Place to Live strategy and combines unrestricted funding with tailored organisational development support. 

The Foundation is looking for organisations supporting people at key life moments when the risk of homelessness is highest, including: 

• People leaving prison 

• Young people leaving care 

• Survivors of domestic abuse 

• People leaving the asylum system after securing leave to remain 

Support can include housing, welfare, immigration, health, advocacy and other services that help prevent homelessness through early intervention. 

Registered charities, CIOs and Schedule 2 CICs limited by guarantee or shares can apply. Organisations must have an annual income between £25,000 and £2 million and already be delivering homelessness prevention or related support. Schedule 3 CICs are not eligible. 

Grant amounts 

• £100,000 over four years for organisations with income below £100,000. 

• £200,000 over four years for organisations with income between £100,000 and £2 million. 

Grants are unrestricted, allowing organisations to use the funding where it is needed most. Around 40–50 organisations will be funded.

Through our wider work to tackle child poverty, strengthen communities and help children shape the future, we know that children have powerful ideas about the places where they live. Seedlings of Change will support them to turn those ideas into action.

Successful partners will receive up to £60,000 over two years to work with children and communities on local climate, nature and neighbourhood projects that make places safer, greener and better for children to grow up in.

You do not need to be an environmental organisation to apply. We are looking for organisations with strong relationships with children and communities and a commitment to child-led participation. We want to work with around three organisations and will be looking for a range of national and local groups that can each make an impact in one community while working together to create wider change.

We particularly welcome interest from organisations working with urban, rural and Welsh-speaking communities across Wales.

The application process is quick and light-touch, taking around 15 to 20 minutes. We are primarily interested in understanding your organisation, the communities you work with, and how you would support children to shape and lead the work.

We will also be hosting an online briefing session in September to provide an overview of the programme, explain the application process and answer any questions. Further details and an invitation link will be shared soon.

The fund will award grants of up to £12,500 for one year to third sector and community organisations supporting children and young people aged up to 25. Funding is available towards core costs that improve opportunities, wellbeing and resilience for children and young people across Wales. 

This fund is specifically for organisations whose work is solely focused on supporting children and young people.  

Organisations supported through this fund should contribute towards one or more of the following: 

• Increasing access to healthy food and other essential items including clothing, stationery and technology 

• Supporting positive mental health and wellbeing 

• Helping children and young people build financial resilience and life skills such as budgeting and saving 

• Supporting employability, training and skills development 

• Encouraging environmental awareness, sustainability and conservation 

• Delivering workshops and activities linked to the themes above 

• Supporting interventions that help pupils and students engage positively with school life and future opportunities 

Funds UK charities whose entire service model is dedicated to evidence‑based, trauma‑informed support for children, young people and parents affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), focusing either on specialist organisations supporting children recovering from ACEs.. Organisations must have a single, specialist focus and cannot apply if ACE‑related work is only one strand or if services are open to all adults rather than parents specifically.
