I see people using GenAI like they would traditionally have Googled something - take the first two or three results and treat them like it’s the absolute truth. With GenAI, students generate whatever they want and remove the critical thinking, planning, synthesis, etc. part from it.

I think AI is like alcohol. At a younger age, you don't understand (or believe) the inherent possible misuse and danger. You just know it makes you feel good and allows you to do things easier.

But like alcohol, it enhances the good things and makes them better, but enhances the bad things and makes them worse. If you are a good student, you will use AI to enhance your learning. If you are a struggling learner, or one who tends to not take school seriously (for whatever reason), then you will use AI to replace your learning, so that you don't have to spend time and effort doing things yourself.
