The Witch hunt in Salem began because of Puritan's religious beliefs and the religious authority. It led to witch hysteria and the number of accusation skyrocketed which ended up two hundred sent to jail and nineteen hanged. It is impressive how people blame others on their misfortunes rather than accepting it.
