Jessica/Q1

To the Anglo-Saxons beowulf may have been considered a model hero, and in modern time he would be still considered a hero but not in a realistic way since he is more than an average man, with his incredible strength and inhuman abilities. To me beowulf is almost like a comic book hero or a person out of a fantasy novel like the lord of the rings, with his fight with Grendel and Grendel's mother.

to the Anglo Saxons Beowulf was a model hero. Replying to Jessica I to do think it is hard to consider him a hero in our time nothing really special. I think of Beowulf as a regular human who got lucky in destroying a monster. his actions really didn't surprise me.
